Koen Wessing (1993)
€29,00
A monograph of one of the most known photojournalists of Europe: Koen Wessing. His work documents postwar Europe, the South American violence during the 70s and 80s in different countries, the end of the Soviet bloc, the Apartheid in South Africa and the new identity of China. He was influenced by Ata Kando and was the assistant of Ed Van Der Elsken (has even a picture of the police beating this legend of photography). Wessing has so many interesting stories: he was in Paris during May 1968 and in 1969 created a famous footbridge in the occupied University of Amsterdam to circumvent the police blockade and get his rolls of film out for processing, hitchicked through all Europe and been in some political action groups.
