Aspectos de España: Imágenes (1986)
€35,00
Catalog of an exhibition that featured the most important authors that have taken pictures in Spain. The book is split in three parts, each one featuring a time of the photographic history of this side of the Iberian Peninsula. It starts with the first cameras, the foreigners that took pictures of the exotic Spain. Then continues through pictorialism and the more modern photography that appeared after the first World War, followed by the Spanish civil war and the dictatorship. It ends around the time this book was published, already in the so called democracy.
The authors featured in this book are: Charles Clifford, J. Laurent, José Ortiz Echagüe, Santiago Ramón y Cajal, Cervera, Luis Escobar, Alfonso Sánchez Portela, Henry Cartier Bresson, Robert Capa, Agustí Centelles, David Seymour, Robert Frank, Jean Dieuzaide, W. Eugene Smith, Brassaï, Frances Català-Roca, Juan Gyenes, Andrés Balmes, Irving Penn, Jaume Blassi, Toni Catany, Lucien Clergue, Eikoh Hosoe, Gabriel Cualladó, Marisa Florez, Luis Magán, Josef Koudelka, Gerardo Moschioni, Manuel Pérez Barriopedro, Leopold Samso, Alberto Schommer, Reinhart Wolf, Rafael Deben, Cristina García Rodero, Bernardo Pérez, Jordi Socias, Victor Steimberg, Manuel Hernández de León, Miguel González, Xavier Guardans, Quim Llenas, César Lucas, Luis Ortiz Lara, Ricardo Martín, Koldo Chamorro, Pablo Julia and Miguel Ángel Yáñez Polo.
As the reader can see the book barely features women work which is a shame.
